HHUMANISTA Partners Meet to Strengthen Future Collaboration
During the HUM-STEM Summer School 2026, representatives of three HUMANISTA partner institutions—the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade (Serbia), the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, University of Kragujevac (Serbia), and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland)—held a productive working meeting to discuss future cooperation within the network.
The meeting focused on strengthening existing partnerships and identifying new opportunities for joint research, academic exchange, and international project development. The partners explored ideas for collaborative research initiatives, future CEEPUS activities, Erasmus+ projects, and other interdisciplinary endeavours aligned with the mission of the HUMANISTA network.
The discussion reaffirmed the partners' shared commitment to fostering international collaboration and developing innovative projects at the intersection of technology, language, education, and society. The meeting marked another important step toward expanding the network's research capacity and creating new opportunities for students and academic staff across partner institutions.
HUM-STEM Summer School 2026 Successfully Brings Together Students and Academics from Across Europe
From 13 to 18 July 2026, the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, University of Kragujevac, proudly hosted the HUM-STEM Summer School 2026, organized within the HUMANISTA CEEPUS Network. The Summer School welcomed 35 undergraduate and PhD students from eight countries, together with an international team of lecturers from Serbia, Poland, Greece, Austria, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, and Malta.
The program combined keynote lectures, interactive workshops, interdisciplinary teamwork, project-based learning, and cultural activities, creating a dynamic environment for knowledge exchange and international collaboration. Working in multicultural teams, students developed innovative, human-centred solutions to contemporary challenges, culminating in a final Project Pitching Competition, where they presented their ideas before an international panel of lecturers.
Beyond the academic program, participants enjoyed cultural visits, networking events, and an International Evening, fostering intercultural dialogue and lasting friendships. These activities reflected the core mission of the HUMANISTA network—to connect technology with human values and to promote collaboration across disciplines and cultures.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback from students and lecturers confirmed the success of this first HUM-STEM Summer School organized at the University of Kragujevac.
HUMANISTA Network Members Participate in the SDUTSJ 2026 International Conference in Slovenia
Members of the HUMANISTA Network actively participated in the 4th International Conference of the Slovene Association of LSP Teachers (SDUTSJ), titled Languages for Specific Purposes in a Changing World, held from 14–16 May 2026 at Terme Čatež Thermal Resort, Slovenia. The conference gathered researchers, teachers, and practitioners from across Europe and beyond to discuss current trends and challenges in Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP), with a particular focus on digital transformation, innovative teaching approaches, and artificial intelligence in education.
HUM-STEM Summer school in Čačak, Serbia
The HUMANISTA network is pleased to announce the HUM-STEM Summer School 2026, which will take place from 13–18 July 2026 at the Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak.
The Summer School brings together undergraduate and PhD students from across Europe and beyond to explore the intersections of technology, language, pedagogy, ethics, communication, AI literacy, and psychological resilience through an interdisciplinary and collaborative learning environment.
Participants will engage in interactive workshops, team-based project work, intercultural exchange, and discussions focused on contemporary challenges at the intersection of STEM and the humanities.
CEEPUS scholarship applications are open until 20 May 2026.
Promotional activities
During the International Week held under the title ‘Modernization of Curriculum as a Catalyst for Mobility and Internationalization’, organized at the University of Kragujevac from 26th to 30th May 2025, Dr Lena Tica presented the HUMANISTA network and raised awareness about the CEEPUS importance in academic mobilities and collaboration, emphasizing the need for further internationalization of higher education in Europe.
HUMANISTA applied in the 2026 CEEPUS round
We are pleased to announce that we have submitted a new HUMANISTA application for the 2026 CEEPUS round, keeping the current consortium and adding 3 new higher education institutions to it. We hope the latest cohort, additionally strengthened by HEIs from Austria, Poland and Serbia, will enrich the collaboration within the network. Fingers crossed for the new CEEPUS networks results!
CEEPUS Kick-Off Meeting Held Online
On 8th May 2025, the CEEPUS network held its kick-off meeting online, bringing together partner institutions to discuss and align plans for upcoming academic collaboration. During the meeting, the coordinator delivered a presentation outlining the CEEPUS rules, application procedures, and key deadlines. Participants agreed on the framework for future cooperation, marking a productive start to the new project cycle.

HUMANISTA launched in CEEPUS
We are pleased to share that our new CEEPUS academic network, HUMANISTA: Exploring the Intersection of Technology, Language, and Society, has been approved for financing in the 2025. Ranked 9th out of 350 applications, HUMANISTA is among the 99 selected networks for the upcoming cycle, paving the way for strengthened regional collaboration in research and mobility.

What is CEEPUS? A Snapshot of the Program
CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) is a regional academic exchange initiative that supports student and faculty mobility across higher education institutions in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its founding in 1994, the program has enabled over 89,000 exchanges, fostering cross-border cooperation and knowledge-sharing. A new chapter began with the signing of the CEEPUS IV agreement in September 2023, which officially came into force this year, continuing the program’s legacy of academic integration in the region.
Deadline for CEEPUS mobility applications
All students and faculty members interested in participating in CEEPUS mobility exchanges for the upcoming academic year are kindly reminded that the application deadline is 1st June 2025. We encourage all prospective applicants to prepare and submit their documents on time, and to reach out if assistance is needed during the process.
